Chemours Future of Chemistry Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship fund is to support students pursuing industrial, technical, and STEM-related fields that are critical to the regional workforce and aligned with the mission of San Jacinto College. Scholarship recipients will be selected through the College’s established scholarship awarding process, with consideration given to academic achievement, financial need, and program of study. Awards are granted for one academic year and may be renewed based on criteria established by the College.

Preference will be given to students who:

• Are pursuing a degree or certificate in an industrial, technical, or STEM-related program, including but not limited to Process Technology, Industrial Instrumentation, Industrial Machining (Millwright), Environmental Technology, Petrochemical Laboratory Technology, Engineering, or Occupational Safety and Health Technology.
• Demonstrate financial need.
• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
• Are enrolled at least part-time, with a minimum of six (6) credit hours.
• Come from or support populations that have been historically underrepresented in these fields.
