Texas Invests in Meaningful Employment (TIME) Grant: Electrical Technology Program

The Texas Invests in Meaningful Employment (TIME) Grant provides financial support to students enrolled in high-demand technical training. Funding assists individuals pursuing an Institutional Credential leading to License or Certification (ICLC) or Occupational Certificate in Electrical Technology, equipping students with essential skills for entry and advancement in electrical sectors.

To qualify for TIME Grant funding, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

• Program Major: Declared major in the Electrical Technology ICLC or Occupational Certificate program.
• Academic Standing: Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
• Enrollment: Enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours for the awarded term.

Additional Qualifications & Student Types

• Recipients must agree to provide periodic program updates and career testimonials.
• High school dual-credit students and traditional/returning postsecondary students pursuing qualifying certificates are eligible to apply.

Award amounts vary based on enrollment status and the total number of credit hours taken each term at San Jacinto College.
