Chesmar Foundation Nursing Scholarship

This scholarship was established to provide need-based scholarship awards to students pursuing one of the following eligible nursing programs at San Jacinto College: the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing, the LVN/Paramedic-to-RN Transition Degree, or the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Scholarships are intended to cover eligible educational expenses, including tuition, textbooks, and required course equipment and supplies. The amount awarded each semester is determined by the recipient’s enrollment status and program-related educational expenses.

Recipients must meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrate financial need as determined by San Jacinto College.
• Be enrolled in a full-time course load each semester.
• Be classified as either an in-district or out-of-district student; however, awards for out-of-district students shall not exceed the equivalent in-district tuition rate.
• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in program-specific coursework.
