Summer 2026 Positioning for the Future Stipend Program

San Jacinto College utilizes the Perkins grant, funded through the federal Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act, to enhance the quality and accessibility of career and technical education programs. This grant supports initiatives designed to strengthen workforce development by aligning academic programs with industry needs and high-demand careers. A central focus of the Perkins-funded efforts is to ensure students gain the technical skills, credentials, and hands-on experiences necessary for successful entry into the workforce.
Through the Perkins grant, the College provides targeted support services that promote student success, including career exploration, advising, and opportunities for work-based learning such as internships and apprenticeships.
