The Herbert “Herb” Hildebrand Memorial Scholarship

Distributions from the Fund will be used to award scholarships to San Jacinto College students with a desire to upskill through a certification, institutional credentials leading to licensure or certification (ICLC), Occupational Skills Award (OSA), Level 1 or 2 Certification, or an associate degree. Scholarships will be offered annually, provided funds are available. The Foundation will select recipients in accordance with its established guidelines and procedures, based on the following criteria:

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a student at San Jacinto College pursuing a certification, institutional credential leading to licensure or certification (ICLC), Occupational Skills Award (OSA), Level 1 or Level 2 certificate, or an associate degree
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
  • Be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours, or meet part-time status as defined by the program
  • Be at least 20 years of age
  • Be the head of household (primary financial provider for the household)
  • Be employed full-time (35 or more hours per week)
