Spring 2025 Positioning for the Future Stipend Application Program

San Jacinto College was awarded a DOE Title V grant titled, “Positioning for the Future Program.” Although there are many components to the grant, a focus is on strengthening workforce-related efforts to ensure successful transition from academic studies to a fruitful career. The purpose of the program is to provide students support throughout the internship experience in the areas of professional development and workforce readiness.

1. Be a San Jacinto student in a business and technical degree program
2. Must have an internship secured before classes begin
3. Must be entering a practicum, field experience, or internship course in Spring 2025
4. Be in good academic standing with San Jacinto College
5. Be willing to commit to soft skills training throughout the program (1 semester)
6. Must be a resident of the United States
7. Willing to complete internship hours at one of the industry partners or with campus departments (must be an unpaid internship)
8. Interview will be required
