Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Vocational Scholarship Program

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship was established to assist students in furthering their education and earning a college degree. Scholarships help students majoring in a variety of areas of study.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen and Texas resident.
  • Must enroll in a minimum of six (6) credit hours each semester.
  • Recipient must maintain continuous enrollment in his or her declared major.
  • Recipient must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 or higher each semester awarded.
  • Recipient is asked to attend the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship Reception in January.

Scholarship funding will be used for tuition, textbooks, and general supplies. If you have any out-of-pocket costs for course-related and required equipment or supplies, please send your purchase receipt to Scholarship.Info@sjcd.edu for reimbursement consideration. To be eligible for reimbursement, all purchased items must be necessary and required supplies for completing the recipient’s course of study. Tuition will be paid before reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenditures is considered.
