Wayne & Krista Hovey Endowed Scholarship for Technical Skills and Trades

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist SJC students enrolling in technical skills and trades programs. Up to four (4) $1,000 awards are offered annually in the fall semester contingent upon available funding. The scholarship is equally distributed over the fall and spring terms.

Criteria:

• Graduating senior from a Pasadena ISD High School with preference given to South Houston High School graduates.
• Minimum 2.0 GPA
• Minimum enrollment in six credit hours per semester awarded.
• Financial need (as determined by the SJC Financial Aid Office).

Terms of Scholarship:

• Funding is applied to tuition, fees, and textbooks.
• Award will be equally divided over two consecutive semesters (fall/spring).
• Scholarship must be used within one academic year.
