Last Step Scholarship Program

The Last Step Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to returning students through scholarship aid to support the completion of their degree and/or certificate. Last-step funding is awarded last-dollar after all other grant funding, including but not limited to financial aid, scholarships, and outside funding, is applied. The covered expenses included tuition and course materials.

Scholarship Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must have completed some college credits but have not completed a credential.
  • Must have stopped attending college for a minimum of one full semester (the fall or spring semester).
  • Be in good academic standing (minimum 2.0 GPA

Continuing Eligibility

  • Continued eligibility will be confirmed at the end of each semester of enrollment. Students will be notified by email if they are no longer eligible to receive the scholarship.
  • Must enroll for a minimum of six hours during the fall and spring semesters of each academic year to remain eligible.
  • Must be continuously enrolled each fall and spring, and may continue with enrollment during the summer with this scholarship.
  • Must maintain satisfactory academic progress (SAP) at the end of each semester to maintain the scholarship. This generally means maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0 and passing a minimum of 75 percent of all hours attempted.

Up to $1,500 for part-time students (6-11 hours); up to $3,000 for full-time students  (12 + hours)
