John S. Dunn Foundation, A Texas Charitable Nonprofit Organization

The John S. Dunn Foundation is a private foundation dedicated to supporting organizations in the greater Houston area that provide for those in need. The Dunn Foundation was formed in 1977 by John S. Dunn, a highly successful Houston business leader, who used much of his personal wealth to improve the quality of life in the city he called home for 65 years. Mr. Dunn considered being in Houston one of the reasons for his business success, and he felt an intense sense of obligation to contribute to his community. The Foundation continues to be a reflection of his personal commitment. The Foundation’s current focus is supporting nursing programs, healthcare clinics for the underserved, mental health programs, and medical research and education.
