Beloved Daughter, Sister, and Friend

Angela Laredo was a cherished daughter and sister, and a proud third-generation native Houstonian. Her deep appreciation for community college and the transformative power of education was evident in both her academic journey and professional life.

Angela began her higher education at San Jacinto College, where she earned her associate’s degree. She continued her studies at the University of Houston–Clear Lake, obtaining a bachelor’s degree that further fueled her passion for education and service.

Her connection to San Jacinto College extended far beyond her student years. Angela dedicated eighteen years of her professional life to the college, serving faithfully in several key departments: Enrollment Services, the President’s Office, and the Liberal Arts Division, including the English, Communications, and Fine Arts departments. Throughout her tenure, Angela’s excellence and commitment were widely recognized. She was the proud recipient of the Staff Excellence Award and the prestigious Monument Award, honors that reflected her unwavering dedication to students, colleagues, and the college community.

Angela loved working alongside her colleagues and took great joy in mentoring students and supporting the mission of higher education. Known for her kindness, generosity, and integrity, Angela left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege to know her.
